2016… the year that shook my world

2016... What can I say?!  As Charlie Brooker quite rightly put it, it's been ‘shitmongous’ in many ways.  On a personal level, it was a year of epic highs and devastating lows.  I married my very best friend, took the leap into full-time self- employment, smashed our photo booth booking target, launched this little labour of love and bought a puppy.

It was also the year that I lost my Mum to cancer. There are no words to express the heartbreak of seeing my vibrant, courageous, beautiful Mum taken by such a cruel disease.

Nothing prepares you for these years. There were so many times I felt utterly overwhelmed, but having so many incredible people in my life and a job I adore have helped me through. I've been taken aback by the kindness and support of my husband, my wonderful friends and family, and my awesome couples. I feel privileged to have been to so many fantastic weddings and shed many happy tears as well as the sad ones.
