Chloe and Tom // Dovecote Events, Oxfordshire

I'm super excited to share this stunning, Dovecote Events, wedding with you! Chloe and Tom are one of those couples whose faces light up every single time they set eyes on each other which made for such a beautiful, emotive day.

Chloe's Mum had me welling up before we'd even left bridal prep, and the speeches left me streaming. Luckily, I had a few minutes to compose myself before flower girl Matilda stepped up and stole the show with some impromptu storytelling.

The phrase "Your day, your way" is banded around a lot in the wedding industry, but with so many traditions and rituals entrenched in weddings, it's super easy to end up doing things simply because they are expected. Chloe and Tom chose to buck two traditions by having a first look and ditching the first dance.

They agreed that seeing each other before the ceremony would help calm their nerves, and they both later said that this time together was the favourite part of their day.

The first look was a new experience for me too and I felt truly privileged to be able to witness these few intimate moments on a day that is otherwise so public. I especially loved it when Chloe took Tom's hand and declared 'right then, let's go get married' as they strolled off to start their wedding day together.
