Emma & Sam's Apres Ski Wedding at Pimhill Barn

Snow angels in France, a ring-finding adventure on a volcano, and a seriously cool barn wedding. That's Emma and Sam's story in a nutshell! These two are just the sweetest, and their wedding at Pimhill Barn was as laid-back and lovely as they are.

They met doing a ski season in France. Making snow angels on their first night – talk about a cute meet-cute! Fast forward a few years, and Sam popped the question on a New Zealand volcano, Mount Ruapehu. The ring actually fell out of his pocket in the snow! Luckily, he found it, and Emma said yes (of course!).

For Emma and Sam, their big day was all about celebrating their love with their favourite people. Emma was most "looking forward to having a day that is just about the two of us celebrating how much we love each other" and Sam was most excited about "marrying Emma and seeing her walk up the aisle."

They picked Pimhill Barn because it's right up their street.  They loved the rustic vibe and how they could totally make it their own. Plus, Shrewsbury holds a special place in their hearts. It was a blank canvas, perfect for their chilled-out, fun wedding.

The barn looked amazing, with flowers from English Bridge Flowers and a family friend's incredible garden. And the cake? Made by someone who's known Emma since she was tiny.  Even the invites were a DIY masterpiece, with gorgeous drawings by their talented pal, Maddie.

The sun gods shined down on the day and the Pimhill doves even did a little fly by as Emma walked down

the aisle. Emma and Sam's vision for the day was "lawn games, relaxed vibes, drinks flowing, happy faces"  which is exactly what they had. Sam spent the weeks leading up to the wedding creating custom built lawn games, (bike jousting anyone?!), the shots were flowing, and everyone on Team Robbo had an absolute blast.

If you're planning your own DIY wedding at Pimhill Barn, or anywhere with that relaxed, personal vibe, I'd absolutely love to hear from you! Get in touch, I'd love to hear your plans.
