Rosie and Sam // The Chapel, Cross Houses, Shropshire

Sep 6, 2019

There will always be a special place in my heart for DIY weddings and Rosie and Sam's is one heck of a DIY wedding.

Choosing to get married on Rosie's Mum and Dad's Pearl wedding anniversary, in the very same church. They wanted a reception venue that they could make their own and would allow them to have BYOB evening do.  Rosie had been busy crafting for the day, with homemade touches everywhere and vibrant summer blooms that made the old chapel especially riant*

Amy Roberts was there to keep everything running smoothly and Fresh and Lush served up some delicious chicken cacciatore.  The dessert table was filled with friend's and family specialities, while the wedding cake was made by Rosie's Mum and sister. Sam took to the stage to in the sweetest of gestures, singing Erasure's a little respect to Rosie before the awesome Groove Dynamite kicked off the dance floor action.

Rosie's advice for those of you planning your day  "The most important thing is that you're getting married surrounded by people you love. The decorations and the entertainment don't matter in the grand scheme of things, so don't stress about it"

*Riant // adjective // Cheerful; mirthful.  (Keep scrolling to find the connection!)
